DEFENDANT INDICTED FOR BANK ROBBERY
Robbery Occurred July 2008 in Mobile, Alabama

Eddie Will Booth, Jr was indicted today by a Federal Grand Jury for bank robbery. The indictment alleges that Booth robbed Woodlands Bank on or about July 2, 2008 in Mobile, Alabama of approximately $2,919.00. Booth is charged with violations of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2113(a) and (d). That charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in custody.

Task Force Agents for the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation into the robbery and presented the case for prosecution to the United States Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Vicki M. Davis is handling the prosecution of the case on behalf of the United States.

An indictment is a determination by a grand jury that there is probable cause to believe that offenses have been committed by a defendant. A defendant, of course, is presumed innocent until and unless he or she is proven guilty at trial.
