TOMMY LOFTIS TEXAS TO MOBILE DRUG DISTRIBUTOR PLEADS GUILTY MOBILE, AL–Daron Odell Jones, a Houston, Texas resident, entered a guilty plea today before Senior United States District Judge Charles R. Butler, Jr., United States Attorney Deborah J. Rhodes of the Southern District of Alabama announced. Jones plead guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and admitted his involvement in more than 150 kilograms of cocaine. He faces a minimum mandatory sentence of twenty years to life without parole. Jones agreed to forfeit a 2007 Mercedes S550, a 2006 Maserati, $1,000,000.00 in drug proceeds, real property located at 17907 Elk Valley Circle, Houston, Texas, 77090, a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, a 2002 Saturn Vue, and a 2001 BMW X5. Jones has already agreed to administratively forfeit a 2006 Ferrari, F-430, a 2007 BMW M6, $ 47,041.00 in United States currency, a $16,000.00 cashier’s check and numerous pieces of jewelry. The case was investigated by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department, the Mobile Police Department and the FBI. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Deborah Griffin.
